Playing computer games have always been my favorite since I entered high school. I indulge for hours on end facing the computer to pamper my own virtual world.
My gaming career started with Counter Strike, way back in 2003. Ragnarok Online “RO” or “Ragna”, one of my primary favorites, was also introduced soon after that. Another favorite isRising Force Online “RF”. Oh my high school days. My heart will always be for those first characters I created. Though I have also tried other games like Cabal, Grand Chase, Audition, and RAN Online to name a few.
In my effort of keeping an active social life despite drowning myself in the virtual pipe dream, I found HIM.
He, who while having countless In-Game friends, had also played alone behind his character for so many years, just like me. He, who tried to entertain himself by spoiling the virtual character aiming for that number one rank in the online world. He, who also waited for the time when he would finally meet the ONE.
I couldn’t believe it. Someone I could truly love. Someone who had also loved me back. It was the best thing in the world. Not only did we love each other, both of us also loved ONLINE GAMES. We were a couple In Real Life and In Game. We built our battle station. Finally, we could be alone. Together.
The first game that we played together was Arcane Saga by Netmarble. He was Crimson and I was NiraJane. It was a tanker-healer combo, a winning system for couple characters. That was when I was introduced to Omen Gaming Community.
We had the time of our lives playing together and with the other Omen guild mates/perma-party. Right now, I’m missing these guys: Marikit, Wiseguy, Chinglou, Blackrabbit, PanyAlmighty, Scooby, Midge. Crimson was the guild leader. Those were the days. Read more about Omen in Arcane Saga.
Arcane Saga had to close for some unknown frustrating reason. So we waited and looked for the next game we could conquer. It was in Twelve Sky 2 by Hungames that Crimson andNiraJane had once more lived. Both Spearmasters to take over the world. Omen was present and leading in the game. Crimson was still the guild leader for Omen but he had to pass the role to someone else for real life reasons.
As a couple we experienced busy times in real life. We weren’t in high school anymore. Heck, we weren’t even in college anymore. That was a very, very hard blow for us. Oh no. Adult Life.
But we played Yulgang 2 by Cubizone, where Crimson and NiraJane were in the tanker-healer combo once more. In this game, the OGC had tried to bring back the fame and power it had in Arcane Saga.
The Omen was burning with desire. Two guild leaders were chosen to lead Omen for this much-awaited game. Crimson and ChingLou. We were already there. Yes, the interface was good and your fingers can really get pumped up with all the action. But honestly, the whole community quit the game after a while simply because we were getting bored with it and it was difficult to level up especially when we didn’t have all the time we wanted, like back in the days.
Meanwhile, other members of OGC were into Aura Kingdom by Aeria Games. Even thoughCrimson and I were busy, we tried to quietly slip our characters into the game. We were Zeref andMavis there. But people from OGC still found out it was us. Hahaha. I loved the game! It was cute and friendly. But the stats were serious. It brought me back to my RO days.
That was the last game we played. We were sick of the gaming companies that are so unfair, focusing on making money from the game. Making it imbalance.
We have decided to take matters into our own hands. Something bigger has come into our life now. We have opened our own Private Server of RAN, naming it MyRAN Online Episode 9. Ito ang RAN mo!
Say hello to [Admin] Dave and [Admin] Nova. Gaming career level up for both of us. We get to do whatever we want with the character and with the game itself. Although, it’s a different feeling becoming a Game Administrator because we couldn’t interact with other players the way we did when we were regular players. Read more about MyRAN Online.
