If you are in Davao City, and you’ve never been to Outback Grill, then now you should. Outback Grill is a family style restaurant that serves a specialty of Baby Back Ribs and very large burgers.
Aside from the delicious food from the restaurant, there is another reason why Outback Grill is so memorable to me.
I can still remember when I was still courting my girlfriend and we were dating into places. One day I invited her into this pizza hauz named “Barrio Bistro” because we both love pizza. Not to mention that I have something to give to her.
Now when we were done eating pizza, my sister suddenly called and asked where I am. I simply said that “I am with someone”. My sister asked if can I come because they are going to eat somewhere and it’s her treat. I tried to decline because I wanted more time alone with my not-yet-girlfriend, so when she asked me who’s with me, I said I am with Nova. She knew who it is because Nova is my 1st girlfriend before way back high school days.
My sister called again and said we should go with them. So I agreed and we went into Outback Grill. It was my first time to be eating in that place and that was the 1st time that Nova will be meeting family again after so many years. So we eat again and my family asked me, are you 2 guys dating. I replied yes with that confident smile.
After that date and Nova meeting my family, I tried connecting with her and luckily she accepted me to be her boyfriend again. I am indeed a very lucky guy having that second chance to love that very special girl.
So right after we reached our 1 year anniversary, we went back again to Outback Grill with both our parents (hers and mine) present on that day. I can still remember the happy smiles we had on that very first day at Outback Grill. There were more smiles on Outback Grill one year later. We were very happy and we call that event the “Clash of Parents/Family”.
