Everyone or let’s say most of the guys really look forward into having their very own car. What does it feel like when having your first car? How would things change if you have your own car? Now let me walk you through my very own experience.
My mom promised me that if I lose weight she will give me a car as a gift because she knows that losing weight is kinda hard for me. When I was in college, I was so much over weight, so she gave me that as challenge. So I said yes to the deal and started working out. At first it was hard but I always keep in mind the price that I’ll get if I reduce weight. So I work harder and never forget about the deal and of course with the help of my very supportive girlfriend, she was always there to remind me that I have a goal to meet. And she also stood as my inspiration to do all the things.
As my Father noticed that I was indeed losing weight, he started to teach me how to drive – a preparation for the price. I did my own preparation and got my Driver’s License (student permit first before getting the non-professional license) because I was pretty confident that I will get the price. So to make the long story short, yes my Mom gave me a 2005 HONDA CRV Unltd Edition. I am very happy aside from the fact the I was able to get the price, I did lose weight.
Now the feeling of having your very first car is quite exhilarating and at the same time weird. It’s because you are always excited to go out and drive even though you really don’t have an appointment. It was at the same time a big responsibility to handle as a driver in the road. Also, one task of getting a new car was the keeping of money or budgeting your allowance/salary because it is very important to support and sustain the GAS of the car – because of course it will not run without a gas rofl.
Aside from the excitement and weird feeling, I already had my good and bad experience as a driver during my 1st moments with my car. I had this accident when I crashed into a motorcycle. The driver was fine and thank god nothing really bad happened, but the experience was very traumatic, especially when you are at the police station and people are questioning you as if you committed a crime.
I also experienced running out of gas in the middle of the highway AND the highway was sloping upward. It was a good thing that my girlfriend was there to man the wheels while I was the one pushing it forward to place it on a safe lane. Gravity was against me and I felt very strong pushing the car all by myself.
Moving on, despite those bad experiences it was replaced by good things too. I was able to travel long distances and explore other places and provinces. And the best thing of all is that, I can go out anytime and anywhere around the city.
To sum it all up, Having your very own car does give you a positive and great feeling; especially when you are a working person and your daily routine is taking a cab/jeep so it will all lessen the stress.
